SIGNS TO WATCH FOR THAT YOUR BOYFRIEND MAY BECOME VIOLENT
DOES HE GET JEALOUS EASILY? This is a big one. Jealousy means “the fear of being replaced.” If he is easily made jealous, he will react with anger. He will get angry when he sees you talking with other boys - even other girls.
IS HE POSSESSIVE? If he is possessive, he views you as an object - not as a person. This is a dangerous sign. If he demands all, or even most, of your attention, he is possessive.
DOES HE FORCE YOU TO HAVE SEX? Boys can be con-artists. The sex drive of a teenage boy is a lot stronger than girls’, and when a boy is “in the mood for sex,” he will say just about anything to get you to give in. One of the popular statements made by boys is, “If you really love me...” This is nothing less than his attempt to get you to satisfy his sexual urges. You should also know that after you have sex with him, you are “conquered territory.” Remember, boys - men - are conquerors. They like to conquer things; people, agendas, tasks, etc. But once they have conquered something - like you - they will want to move on. Many boys, after having sex with their girlfriend, get “wondering eyes.” They will then look for another girl to “conquer.” Remember; Love can wait to give - Lust cannot wait to get.
DOES HE EVER USE VIOLENT LANGUAGE? Does he ever make comments like, “I ought to knock the hell out of you...” A boy will hardly ever talk like this on the first date, but, if after you have been going steady a while, and he talks like this - watch out!
DOES HE CALL YOU NAMES? There are many names a boy will call his girlfriend when he is angry, but there are 4 he will use that may mean violence is near: The “B” word...The “C” word (private part of female)...Slut...Whore. If you are being called any of these names, he has lost all respect for you (My sincere apologies for the use of these words).
HOW DOES HE TREAT HIS MOTHER? This is a big one! The way he treats his mother is the way he will treat YOU! His mother was the first woman in his life; the way he treats her is the way he treats women. Period.
DOES HE TELL YOU WHAT TO WEAR? What you wear is YOUR business - not his. This is another sign of possessiveness. He does not own you: he is not your fashion designer.
