America has aborted well over 40 million babies. That's an entire generation - and more. An abortion is a terribly violent act. Many people - including Christians - do not understand the horror of the act of abortion. The ignorance of the scripture about life in the womb amongst believers is stunning...

  • Psalms 139 states very clearly that life is in the womb: a living female or male. King David, the autor of this particular chapter in the Bible, wrote "You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed."
  • Jeremiah was a prophet, one of the greatest of the Old Testament times. He was known as the "weeping prophet." Jeremiah records the time he was called to be a prophet - it was in his mother's womb! Read it for your self:  “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
  • John the Baptist was a forerrunner of Jesus. When his mother, Elizabeth, met with the Virgin Mary and heard the news of the Christ Child in her womb, the Bible records: "...She entered the house and greeted Elizabeth. At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, 'God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed. Why am I so honored, that the mother of my Lord should visit me? When I heard your greeting, the baby in my womb jumped for joy.” (Luke 1)
  • Who would doubt the contribution that Paul the Apostle has made to the Christian faith? He wrote half of the New Testament. When was Paul called to preach? Read it for your self: "...it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen..."
